In accordance with the changes to SWIFT requirements and the implementation of the ISO 20022 standard for cross-border payments, as well as the requirement to provide the beneficiary’s structured address when initiating a SWIFT payment, effective November 15, 2026, the following validations will be introduced for transactions initiated via the PIS API:
- Beneficiary Address Validation
For interbank SWIFT payments, the PIS API will validate the presence and completeness of the beneficiary’s full address in the creditorAddress field. - Beneficiary Bank Details Validation
For beneficiary accounts that do not have an IBAN and/or SWIFT/BIC code, the PIS API will validate the beneficiary bank’s name and address provided in the creditorAgentName field.
